Evropska centralna banka je objavila, da danes v obtok prihaja novi bankovec za 50 €, četrti iz serije Evropa.

Uvedba novega petdesetaka predstavlja nov korak v prizadevanjih za še boljšo zaščito eurskih bankovcev pred ponarejanjem. Eden novih zaščitnih elementov je portretno okence na zgornji strani holograma, ki postane prosojno, če ga pogledamo proti svetlobi. V okencu se pokaže portret Evrope iz grške mitologije, ki je viden z obeh strani bankovca. Enak portret je viden tudi v vodnem znaku. Na bankovcu je tudi smaragdno zelena številka, na kateri se ob nagibanju bankovca pojavi svetlobni val, ki potuje navzgor in navzdol. V pomoč slepim in slabovidnim je na bankovcu tudi reliefni tisk.

»Celo v tej digitalni dobi ostaja gotovina gonilna sila našega gospodarstva,« je dejal predsednik ECB Mario Draghi. »Kot je pokazala anketa o uporabi gotovine, ki bo kmalu objavljena in je bila izvedena v imenu ECB, se več kot tri četrtine vseh plačil na prodajnih mestih v euroobmočju opravi z gotovino. Po vrednosti je to malo več kot polovica plačil.«

Rezultati ankete bodo objavljeni poleti 2017.

Bankovci za 50 € se od vseh apoenov uporabljajo najpogosteje. V obtoku jih je več kot 9 milijard, kar predstavlja 46% vseh eurskih bankovcev. Bankovci za 50 € iz prve serije bodo ostali zakonito plačilno sredstvo in se bodo še naprej uporabljali vzporedno z novimi bankovci, vendar jih bodo centralne banke postopno umikale iz obtoka.

Nova bankovca za 100 € in 200 € bosta izdana v začetku leta 2019.

Anketa temelji na dnevnikih, v katerih je 65.281 sodelujočih od oktobra 2015 do julija 2016 vsak dan beležilo svoja plačila na prodajnih mestih, kot so trgovine z živili ali trajnimi dobrinami, bari, restavracije in tržnice. Anketa ECB je zajela 17 držav. Nacionalno študijo s podobno metodologijo sta izvedli nacionalni centralni banki Nemčije in Nizozemske.

LETTER OF INTENT

7. We understand that stocks of ECB materials for distribution are limited. We will inform the ECB of the number of copies distributed, the means of distribution as well as the target groups.
On behalf of the company/institution mentioned above, we declare that we will refrain from using any materials either in printed or electronic form provided by the ECB until our membership of the Partnership Programme has been confirmed.
We will be liable for any damages incurred by the ECB should we not act in accordance with this Letter of Intent. We also understand that the ECB reserves the right to terminate our membership at any time.
